Update: Moving Forward!!!

Our return to play program is evolving more. With the governments announcement to move Step 3 to July 16th, we are excited to declare the following new steps:

  1.  Practices will still be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All Orillia based kids in the House League program will practice in Orillia Tuesday nights 7:00pm– 8:30pm.  The Stallions and the City of Orillia are putting the final touches on the COVID requirements for Tuesday nights.  Practices will be conducted at the West Orillia Sports Complex.  All Thursday night practices for all Stallions will remain at the Barrie Sports Complex.  Bantam players will practice at the Barrie Sports Complex.  House League and Bantam aged players (2007-2012) will practice from 7pm-8:30pm.  All Varsity and Junior Varsity players (2001-2006) will practice from 7:30-9pm this Tuesday and Thursday. Start times are staggered to help with social distancing.  All participates and coaches must wear their mask to and from the fields.  Masks are not required while working out on the fields.

  2. Starting this week, all House League divisions will begin controlled scrimmages on Friday nights.  This Friday will be touch football and the Fridays to follow will be control tackle scrimmages.

  3. We will be handing out equipment to the players this week.  On Wednesday July 14th, JV and Varsity players will receive their equipment. The allotted time for JV/Varsity players to pick up their equipment are as follows.

    6:00pm – 7:00pm: Surnames A - H
    7:00pm – 8:00pm: Surnames I – O
    8:00pm – 9:00pm: Surnames P – Z

On Sunday July 18th Bantam and House League players will receive their pads.  Equipment pick up schedules will be sent out this week prior to pick up days notifying everyone of their scheduled times.  Due to COVID social distancing requirements, it is important that everyone adhere to their designated time schedule. There is a $100 equipment deposit fee (Cash only please) required in order to receive equipment.  Equipment deposits are refundable upon the return of the equipment at the end of the year.  All outstanding fees will also be required to receive equipment.

  4. Stallions Staff are working diligently to secure Jamborees and games with other organizations for the Bantam, JV and Varsity levels.  Updates will be communicated as opportunities are finalized.

  5. For this week, please come dressed for practice (athletic attire and cleats/running shoes) as there will be no changerooms available. Please bring your own water, there will be no water provided, nor will the taps be accessible for use, and no sharing of water is permitted.

  6. Upon arrival at the field, there can be absolutely no congregating in large groups, players are to proceed directly to their assigned field.  Each player is required to fill out a COVID screening form prior to arriving at the field and submit it to the coach at the field. Forms were sent out last week by email and are also available on the Stallions website.  NO player will be allowed to play until the form is completed and submitted.  There will be a few extra forms at the field for special cases.

Thank you for you continued enthusiasm, passion, and commitment as we work our way back to normalcy.
