This past weekend four former Huronia Stallions attended the CFL's evaluation camp. All four were teammates together on the Stallions and have starred at the University level. The former Stallions included Quarterback Kyle Graves, Offensive Tackle Tyler Honeywood and Runningback Brett Haenni from Acadia University. Joining them was Wide Receiver Sanchez Deschamps from Concordia University.
All four gained invitations to the camp through their stellar play and inclusion in the Canadian University East-West prospects game. At E-Camp the players were put through a variety of strength, speed and agility tests.
Graves led all quarterbacks with 11 reps at 225 lbs in the Bench Press, a 4.77 second 40 yard dash and a 31 inch vertical jump.
Deschamps tested impressively with a 34.5 inch vertical jump, 14 reps in the Bench Press and a 4.61 40 yard dash.
Haenni led all runningbacks with a whopping 28 reps in the Bench Press, jumped 31.5 inches and had a solid 4.88 time in the 40.
Honeywood had the second fastest 40 time for Offensive Linemen at 5.2 seconds flat and benched an impressive 27 reps.
The Stallions family is very proud of these four young men and wish them the best of luck in pursuing their professional football dreams.
